In finishing kitchen that is. After rambling about summer gardening, fruits, farmers markets and all those things that that can make me space out for hours, I focused. The cabinets have doors and hardware and I applied a first coat of Farrow & Ball’s “London Clay” yesterday. Heavenly. Not ready ready for unveiling yet, but here is a glimpse.
Tastes change. Never liked these as a kid and now I cannot get enough of them. Maybe because I really can get them only when I travel to Poland. To be perfectly honest I did see gooseberries recently at a farmers market, but I like eating them off the bush! Same with black currants. Now we are in the super rare territory. The Germans definitely have an appreciation for these. I snapped up 3 magazines on a plane back from Europe. I could not peel myself off of the recipes of red currant-vanilla syrup, raspberries with ginger konfiture etc. etc.
