It can be easily found in historic shipbuilding and merchant towns of Marblehead or Salem, but also, somewhat unexpectedly, in places a little bit further away from the ocean. On a recent trip to Amesbury, a historic industrial town located on the river, I had an opportunity to photograph an unusual Historic New England property – Rocky Hill Meeting House.
